Dr. Ulrich Albrecht-Früh started as welder in 1985 and eventually earned 1997 a PhD in process engineering at Technical University of Aachen (Germany).
Career
1997 – 2004 Ulrich was leading an European R&D-Cooperation in industrializing the near net shape casting process: Thin Strip Casting (ThyssenKrupp, Arcelor, VAI, AST)
2004-2007 Head of the Stainless Steel melt shop at Thyssenkrupp Nirosta Krefeld, Germany
2007-2011 CEO of TK-Stainless USA in Calvert, Alabama and 2009 Head of TK Stainless NAFTA
2011-2013 Member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Stainless Global, Duisburg as CTO. 2013 part of the Leadership Team of Outokumpu Oyi, Helsinki, Finland and Head of Outokumpu EMEA Coil.
Since 2014 Ulrich is engaged as international consultant, founder, speaker and mentor. Additionally he serves on Boards of Directors in different industries.
