ADIPEC 2017: new trends in energy filed
CENTRAVIS participated in the 20th International Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2017, the largest industry event in the Middle East, which took place on 13 - 16 November 2017 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
Historically, Oil & gas field of the Gulf basin is one of the richest in natural resources world regions, and the role of the Middle East in the global economy is extremely high. About 2/3 of the world oil reserves is located in the Gulf countries. The UAE proven oil reserves are estimated at 100 billion barrels, that is about 1/10 of the world reserves. Currently, the world gas reserves are about 150 trillion cubic meters of gas, with 6 trillion cubic meters located in the United Arab Emirates.
The modern energy landscape forces all players in oil & gas industry – from those engaged in exploration, upstream and downstream production, transportation and refining to suppliers of equipment, components and technologies – to take initiative in developing and implementing innovative solutions in order to meet complex technical and business challenges. Thus, the access to reliable information and advanced developments in the industry is an essential element for successful business operation.
ADIPEC is a kind of leading event, a major venue for sharing knowledge, holding summits and establishing new contacts. This event is not limited to the oil & gas industry of the UAE, but is a key meeting point for participants from all over the Middle East Region: Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain. The International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference is supported by the UAE Ministry of Energy and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). This year the exhibition was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre covering 130,000 m2, including a targeted show at the pier with moored offshore platforms and service vessels. About 100’000 attendees and 8’500 conference delegates from 120 countries visited ADIPEC 2017.
CENTRAVIS has again participated in ADIPEC, which is a top event and a kind of indicator of the situation in oil and gas industry, of new promising directions and trends. During the exhibition we held meetings with multiple Centravis consumers: distributors, EPC-companies, end users. The Middle East market is reviving after the 2015-2016 slowdown and is among the most promising directions for sales growth.
