In September, CENTRAVIS, a leading supplier of high quality solutions in the segment of seamless stainless steel tubes, successfully passed assessment audit carried out by ZiO-Podolsk resulted in getting the approval for production of boiler tubes for separator-superheater of the 3rd and 4th reactors of Kudankulam nuclear power plant under construction.
This approval is an essential requirement of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, – general contractor of this large-scale project for nuclear power plant construction. Rosatom is one of the world leaders in nuclear power industry, ranked the second place in the world in uranium reserves and the fifth place in production of nuclear energy. This non-profit organization is focused both on development of nuclear power / nuclear fuel cycle facilities and nuclear and radiation safety as well as development of applied and fundamental science.
The audit was carried out to monitor compliance and relevance of QMS (Quality Management System) during the production, verify procurement procedures in terms of raw and auxiliary materials as well as verify the systems for tubes quality identification and traceability.
