The South-East Asian Market CENTRAVIS attends the OTC Asia 2016 exhibition and conference
This year, Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia 2016) was hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event brought together representatives of the energy sector from around the world, including CENTRAVIS – a leading Ukrainian producer of high-quality solutions in seamless stainless steel tube & pipe segment. Over the course of the event, experts shared their knowledge and in turn were brought up to speed on some of the most cutting-edge technologies in the field of marine resources and environmental issues.
The conference was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and attracted more than 25,000 participants, including more than 450 leaders and industry professionals from more than 80 countries. Themed events revealed the region’s importance as a global provider of technology, where cultural and geographical diversity contributes to innovation. These events also demonstrated the achievements and the important technological developments of the Asian market, both of which are needed to remain a strong and reliable player in the global energy market. CENTRAVIS’ participation in this major industry event allowed the company the opportunity to increase its presence in the Southeast Asian market.
“We see great potential for the development of partnerships in Southeast Asia. We are actively developing the offshore fields sector, and expect that more and more projects will materialise in the near future following oil price stabilisation,” says Irina Kalinina, Regional Sales Manager. “As a Ukrainian manufacturer, we are still under-represented in the region, but we are confident that the European standard of quality we offer, along with competitive prices and delivery times – all factors key to our business, will help us find a credible place in the market.”
The development of offshore fields and production of oil and gas dictate strict requirements for all materials used, namely those highly resistant to various types of corrosion, as well as the ability to withstand structural loads for more than 20 years. In such circumstances, the stainless steel used should not only be flawless but reliable.
The exhibited samples and advantages of CENTRAVIS products, which have received certification from large companies such as Shell, BP, Saudi Aramco, Sabic, and ExxonMobil, as well as NORSOK M-650 certification, aroused great interest among potential customers, allowing the company to carry out a number of successful negotiations with engineering companies involved in the design and manufacture of FPSO ships, where CENTRAVIS is to be included in the list of approved suppliers.
