Centravis Production Ukraine employees helped raise funds for the purchase of nine adjustable hospital beds for the heavily wounded patients stationed at the Dnepropetrovsk Regional I. Mechnikov Clinical Hospital.
Centravis, one of the world’s leading global suppliers of high-quality solutions in seamless stainless steel tubes and pipes, has donated nine multifunctional three-section hospital beds to the Dnepropetrovsk Regional I. Mechnikov Clinical Hospital that are equipped with mechanisms for adjusting the beds’ height, geometry, and ergonomics. The beds were purchased with the funds raised by the company employees during the charity marathon “One Day Worth Hundreds of Lives”.
The marathon was held at the end of 2014 with 300 participating employees contributing one day’s worth of their salaries for charity. Overall, there were UAH100 thou. raised during the event.
The latest effort by Centravis presents another extension of the company’s long-term initiative to support the region’s major medical establishment and the regional military hospital that receives wounded soldiers from the country’s eastern regions. In July-December 2014, Centravis – assisted by local entrepreneurs and company employees – supplied I. Mechnikov Clinical Hospital with infusion pumps, replacement parts for a lung ventilator, and nerve block equipment for the regional anesthesia worth UAH260 thou. At the same time, the Dnepropetrovsk Military Hospital received a diesel generator for the intensive care unit, a medical oxygen thickener, and a lung ventilator costing more than UAH250 thou.
